An automatic weighing instrument (AWI) is equipment that weighs the products running towards one or more conveyors during the production process.

Checkweighers are part of a complex quality control system that guarantees all the products coming from the production line have the appropriate weight and comply with the packaging requirements.

An AWI is an equipment that determines the mass of the product without the intervention of an operator and executes a predetermined program of automatic processes that provide the specific requirements of the Metrologic directive (MID).

The user will have access to real-time data and consolidated productions reports. Therefore, the system will provide warnings for a predictive maintenance.
