Environmental performance of the organisation

Varpe Control de Peso, S.A. is committed to the environment and proof of this is the recent UNE-EN ISO 14001:2015 certification of the environmental management system.

We continue with the environmental improvement initiatives proposed, and we summarise their status below:
- Waste recovery: regular environmental awareness campaigns are carried out and specific segregation containers are made available for each type of waste.
- Installation of photovoltaic panels: the different options available on the market are being evaluated.
- Reduction of paper consumption: the use of digital documents is encouraged to the detriment of paper printouts.
- Environmental balanced scorecard: the evaluation of environmental performance has been integrated into the regular monitoring of the organisation's indicators for decision-making.
- Environmental criteria in purchasing: environmental criteria have been incorporated into the decision making process in the approval and evaluation of suppliers.
- Calculation of the carbon footprint: participating in the Barberà del Vallès Town Council's Zero CO2 project to reduce and offset CO2 emissions.
