At Varpe, we understand innovation as a commitment to society. For this reason, we carry out solidarity actions with entities that promote equity, health, and education:
Solidarity days
At VARPE, we firmly defend the value of community and the strength of solidarity. With the joint participation of employees and families, we inaugurated this initiative with a charity paella whose entire proceeds were donated to the <Hospital Amic project > of the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Barcelona, aimed at humanizing pediatric care.
No child without a story
Started in 2014 with the aim of promoting the reading habit, enhancing children's creativity, and promoting values-based education. By facilitating access to culture, its enjoyment is encouraged among all children. For the third consecutive year, VARPE financially supports this initiative to distribute children's stories in hospitals, shelters, schools, and other institutions on the occasion of the celebration of Sant Jordi.
Solidarity establishment with Sant Joan de Déu
At Sant Joan de Déu, they offer comprehensive care to children and their families, as well as to people who are in a situation or at risk of social exclusion for reasons of health, social circumstances or economic difficulties, and to those who flee armed conflicts and war zones. VARPE actively collaborates with its support programs for people in vulnerable situations, as well as with biomedical research initiatives and international cooperation projects developed by its Hospitals, Social Health Services and Social Services.
Toy collection campaigns (Creu Roja)
VARPE has collaborated with the 2023-2024 toy collection campaign of the Creu Roja, one of the most important and supportive references in the country, with more than 29,000 children cared for and 64,865 toys distributed throughout the Catalan territory. We joined through corporate volunteering, providing a space in our offices to collect toys and thus protect the illusion that all children should be able to have on dates as marked as Christmas.

Clean water and sanitation
We use aerators and sensors to reduce water consumption. We raise awareness about the responsible use of water in our facilities. We apply good practices to promote reuse and avoid the dumping of waste into the system.

Affordable and clean energy
We invest in energy-efficient machinery and promote energy saving. We have ISO 14001 certification in environmental management. We participate in the Zero CO₂ project in Barberà del Vallès, reducing our carbon footprint and receiving recognition for our environmental commitment.

We create stable, safe, and innovative jobs. We promote the growth of SMEs and microenterprises. We apply production processes that decouple growth from environmental degradation. We guarantee a risk-free work environment for all employees.

We promote the digital transformation of key sectors such as food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics. We develop customized technological solutions that improve productivity and competitiveness. We promote innovation as a central axis of our business strategy.
