APPLICATIONS OF VARPE VISION SYSTEMS

DIMENSIONAL MEASUREMENT
A technique that uses advanced algorithms and machine learning technologies to improve the accuracy and efficiency of measuring the physical dimensions of objects.

VISION SYSTEMS vs X-RAY INSPECTION SYSTEMS

Both vision systems and X-ray inspection equipment aim to guarantee the safety and quality of products passing through the production line. However, they differ in how they work and the types of defects they detect. Vision systems use cameras and image processing algorithms to analyse the surface of products. They are ideal for checking visual aspects such as the correct placement of labels, code legibility, shapes, colours, and the presence or absence of visible elements. X-ray inspection systems, on the other hand, use radiation to penetrate the product and generate an image of its interior, allowing them to detect physical contaminants such as metal, glass, or stones, even if they are inside the packaging. In addition, it allows the fill level and product integrity to be verified, even in opaque and metallic packaging, while machine vision is a technology that inspects what is visible.

The two systems are not mutually exclusive, but complementary. In many production lines, they are used together to ensure comprehensive control of both the external appearance and internal safety of the product.
